He has deep industry knowledge and global market experience in enterprise computing. His long-standing commitment to customers, determination to go the extra mile and instinctive business insights ensure clients and partners continuously capitalize on Sun's innovative solutions. Andy consistently delivers top-level support as Sun Canada works with customers to design, build and operate networks that reduce complexity, increase competitiveness and help drive maximum business benefits.
Prior to leading Sun, he held senior technical, sales and management positions at Hewlett Packard, Compaq and IBM, which combined, is the foundation of his highly regarded career. Andy is an active member on the Information Technology Association of Canada’s (ITAC) Board of Directors and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto.

Dr. Sherry Cooper is in constant demand as a speaker and writer because of her ability to simplify and de-mystify the complex subjects of economics and finance. Dr. Cooper is regularly quoted in the financial press and you have heard her often on radio and TV. Sherry’s third book, The New Retirement: How It Will Change Our Future, was released in January 2008, and is a blockbuster bestseller.
Dr. Cooper has an M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Pittsburgh and began her career at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. Following five years at the Fed, she joined the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) as director of financial economics and moved to Canada in 1983 to become Chief Economist at Burns Fry.

Jean-François (J-F) Courville is President and Chief Operating Officer of MFC Global Investment Management, the asset management arm of Manulife Financial Corporation.
He is responsible for growing MFC Global’s third-party institutional and sub-advisory investment management businesses in North America, Japan, Asia and the United Kingdom as well as expanding investment management services to Manulife Financial’s own wealth management businesses globally.

Mr. Courville joined MFC Global in 2007 from State Street Canada where he had been President and CEO. Previously, he held positions of increasing responsibility within State Street’s trading and research group. Mr. Courville has also worked in the trading operations of a major Canadian bank in Montréal and London, England.
He graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance and international business. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
In 2006, Mr. Courville was named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40™, a prestigious national award program that selects its honourees based on vision and leadership; innovation and achievement; impact; community involvement and contribution; and strategy for growth. In 2000, Mr. Courville was recognized as Young Business Manager of the Year in Quebec by the Jeune Chambre de Commerce de Montréal.
He is a member of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity Toronto as well as an active participant in additional Canadian charitable organizations. Mr. Courville also serves on the Advisory Board of the Trudeau Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Toronto.

Don Drummond
Senior Vice President & Chief Economist

Don Drummond was born and raised in Victoria, British Columbia, where he graduated from the University of Victoria. He subsequently received his M.A. in Economics from Queen’s University.
Mr. Drummond joined the federal Department of Finance upon completing his studies at Queen’s. During almost 23 years at Finance, Mr. Drummond held a series of progressively more senior positions in the areas of economic analysis and forecasting, fiscal policy and tax policy. His last three positions were respectively, Assistant Deputy Minister of Fiscal Policy & Economic Analysis, Assistant Deputy Minister of Tax Policy & Legislation and most recently, Associate Deputy Minister. In this latter position Mr. Drummond was responsible for economic analysis, fiscal policy, tax policy, social policy and federal-provincial relations. In particular, Mr. Drummond coordinated the planning of the annual federal budgets.
Mr. Drummond joined the TD Bank in June 2000 as Senior Vice President and Chief Economist. Mr. Drummond leads TD Economics’ work in analyzing and forecasting economic performance in Canada and abroad. For Canada, this work is conducted at the city, provincial, industrial and national levels. TD Economics also analyzes the key policies which influence economic performance, including monetary and fiscal policies.
Mr. Drummond travels widely across Canada and abroad, speaking to TD clients and various groups about the Canadian economy and its prospects and he is frequently quoted by the media on economic and policy issues. |

Heather M. Douglas

Ms. Heather Douglas was appointed to the position of President and CEO of The Calgary Chamber of Commerce on October 1, 2005.
Prior to joining The Chamber, Heather Douglas was the Founder and President of Strategic Public Affairs (SPA), a worldwide combination of external and internal affairs and communications professionals. She has more than 20 years experience in journalism and public affairs, has directed media, government, and shareholder relations, crisis communications, and image and reputation management for three major Canadian companies (one a Fortune 500 affiliate).
Douglas is the former Manager, Public and Government Affairs for Mobil Oil Canada where she successfully directed several of Canada's largest public consultation programs – including the Hibernia offshore oil and the Sable natural gas projects. Mobil sent her to run Mobil’s Public and Government Affairs Department in the United Kingdom and Norway, assigned her to special projects in the Far East, and brought her to Washington D.C. to work with several Asian embassies.
Douglas has also served as Vice President, Public Affairs and Government Relations with Atomic Energy of Canada (AECL), her duties included building relationships with foreign governments on behalf of the Crown Corporation. She also headed their worldwide media relations, stakeholder relations, crisis communications, and public consultation programs. She was an officer of the Corporation and a member of its Executive Council.
Douglas has co-authored two books and has spoken at numerous seminars and conferences. Her topics range from energy and communications to negotiation strategies. Douglas is currently working toward her doctorate in political science. |

Rick George

Suncor Energy Inc.
Rick George is president and chief executive officer of Suncor Energy Inc., Canada's pioneer oil sands company. Rick joined Suncor in 1991 and, under his leadership, Suncor became a publicly traded company and embarked on a multi-phased growth strategy that turned a once struggling enterprise into a leader in Canada's energy industry. From an initial public offering of approximately $1 billion in 1992, Suncor's market capitalization has grown to $45 billion today. Under Rick's leadership, the company continues to expand with plans for a $20 billion investment that targets doubling daily production in 2012.
Rick's view of technological innovation and sustainable development has influenced the growth of the oil sands industry, which has emerged from an "alternative" energy source with an uncertain future to become a significant energy supplier to the North American marketplace and a major force of economic growth in Canada.
Rick served as chairman of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives from 2003 to 2006 and remains on their board of directors as honorary chair. In 2006, he was selected by Prime Minister Stephen Harper to serve as a member of the North American Competitiveness Council. In 2007, Rick was named an Officer of the Order of Canada in recognition of his leadership in the development of Canada's natural resources sector, his efforts to provide economic opportunities to Aboriginal communities and his commitment to sustainable development.
Rick holds a bachelor of science degree from Colorado State University, a law degree from the University of Houston Law School and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development.
He and his wife have three children. The entire family became Canadian citizens in 1996.

Stewart Hall

Stewart Hall joined HSBC in 1998 and is working as an Economist with the firm. In the past he held the role of Market Strategist, working with the Canadian fixed income and foreign exchange departments.
Mr Hall has been analyzing, writing and speaking about foreign exchange and fixed income markets for over 15-years. He holds degrees in Economics and International Relations (1990) from the University of Waterloo, and a Master’s degree from Queen’s University (1992) specializing in European security.

Linda Hasenfratz

Linda Hasenfratz was named Chief Executive Officer of Linamar Corporation on August 12, 2002. From April 1999 to August 2002 she was President of Linamar Corporation. Ms. Hasenfratz joined Linamar Corporation in July 1990 and embarked on an extensive training program to gain familiarity with all aspects of the business. Positions held in the Corporation range from Machine Operator all the way up to General Manager of the company’s Vehcom Manufacturing and Comtech Manufacturing Ltd. Divisions.
Ms. Hasenfratz completed her Executive MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in June 1997. In addition, she holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the same institution. The analytical and strategic planning skills gained during the MBA program in combination with practical skills gained at Linamar are key factors in Ms. Hasenfratz’ executive development.
She is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Governors for the Royal Ontario Museum, a Director of the CIBC Board of Directors, Co-Chair for the North American Competitive Council and Vice-Chairman for the Original Equipment Manufacturers Association Board of Directors.
Since Ms. Hasenfratz assumed corporate level responsibilities, Linamar sales have grown from $800 million to more than $2.2 billion. Linamar designs, develops and manufactures precision machined components, modules and systems for engine, transmission and chassis systems primarily for the North American and European automotive marketplace. The company’s industrial division is a world leader in aerial lift platform products. Linamar has over 11,000 employees in 37 manufacturing locations, five research and development centers and nine sales offices in Canada, United States, Mexico, Germany, Hungary, China, Korea and Japan.

The Right Honourable Paul Martin
21st Prime Minister of Canada
Mr. Martin was the 21st Prime Minister of Canada and is the Member of Parliament for LaSalle-Émard in Montreal, Quebec. He was first elected federally in 1988.
Mr. Martin was sworn in as Finance Minister in November 1993 and he served in that role until June 2002.
As Prime Minister, from December 2003 to February 2006, Mr. Martin succeeded in negotiating a ten year, 41 billion dollar plan to improve health care and reduce wait times. He signed agreements with all provinces to establish a national early learning and child care program. And under his leadership in November 2005, the Canadian Government reached an historic consensus with Canada's provinces, territories, First Nations, Métis and Inuit people that would eliminate the gaps between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Canadians in the areas of health, education, housing and economic opportunity. It became known as the Kelowna Accord.
During his time as finance minister, Canada recorded five consecutive budget surpluses, erased a $42 billion deficit, paid down debt, and put in place the largest tax cuts in Canadian history.
As Canada's finance minister, in September l999, Mr. Martin was named inaugural chair of the G-20, an international group of finance ministers and Central Bank governors, composed of the G-7 nations and emerging market nations. He is respected internationally in part for his leadership working to forge a new global financial order.
As co-chair of a high level panel Mr. Martin has just submitted a report on a new strategic vision for the African Development Bank and earlier co-chaired a UN report on Private Sector investment with the third world.
Currently Mr. Martin co-chairs, with Nobel laureate Wangari Maathai, a $100 million poverty alleviation fund for the Congo Rainforest Basin. Domestically, he is leading a new initiative, in cooperation with local business communities and departments of education, designed to help Canadian Aboriginal youth complete high school.
Before entering politics, he had a distinguished career in the private sector as a business executive at Power Corporation of Canada, in Montreal and as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Canada Steamship Lines.
Mr. Martin studied philosophy and history at St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto and is a graduate of the University of Toronto Law School. He was called to the bar in Ontario in 1966.
He married Sheila Ann Cowan in 1965. They have three sons: Paul, Jamie and David and they are proud grandparents of two grand sons Ethan and Liam, sons of David and his wife Laurence.

Jayson Myers

Jayson Myers is the President of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, Canada’s largest industry and trade association. He is also the Chair of the Canadian Manufacturing Coalition, a coalition of over 30 industry associations that have come together to speak with a common voice on priority issues for Canada’s Manufacturing sector.
Mr. Myers is a well-known economic commentator, and is widely published in the fields of Canadian and international economics, technological and industrial change. As CME’s Chief Economist, he led the association’s Manufacturing 20/20 initiative, the largest cross-country consultation ever convened by Canada’s business community on the future of manufacturing in Canada. He has been recognized by consulting firm Watson Wyatt as the most accurate economic forecaster in Canada.
Mr. Myers sits on special advisory councils to the Minister for International Trade, the Minister of Industry, and the Canadian Border Services Agency. He is co-chair of the Work & Learning Knowledge Centre of the Canadian Council on Learning. He is also Vice Chair of both the Ontario Manufacturing Council and the Great Lakes Manufacturing Council.
Mr. Myers studied at Queen's University, Kingston and the University of British Columbia in Canada, and at the London School of Economics and Oxford University in the United Kingdom. He has held appointments as a research fellow at Nuffield College, Oxford and a lecturer in international studies at Warwick University, also in the U.K. He is a consultant on Canadian and international business affairs for Oxford Analytica, an international consulting group based at Oxford University. |

Bill Morris leads Accenture in Canada. He is responsible for driving the growth of its Management Consulting, Systems Integration and Technology and Outsourcing businesses across all industries and governments. Bill has more than 25 years of experience working on technology consulting, business transformation and outsourcing initiatives.
Under Bill's leadership, Accenture’s Canadian business is one of its fastest growing globally with more than 5,000 employees from coast to coast.
In 2003, Bill helped conceive and create Accenture Business Services for Utilities, the largest provider of outsourced customer care, technology and business services to utilities globally.
To bolster Accenture’s capabilities as a strategic, value-based partner, Bill sponsored the creation of a new internal workforce for technology solutions delivery as well as the local presence of Avanade—a joint technology solutions venture with Microsoft. These two units grew from zero to hundreds of employees in a short time, offering flexible, cost-effective technology and delivery options for Canadian businesses.
As a responsible corporate citizen, Bill is working to increase Accenture's positive impact on the communities that its employees live and work in. He is a member of Accenture's internal Corporate Citizenship Council, which is focused on supporting employee involvement in a variety of charitable activities and other local initiatives across the country. Bill is also a board member of Enablis, a Canadian-based not-for-profit organization that supports entrepreneurs in the developing world through its member-driven network.
Bill was born in Boston and raised in Nova Scotia. He attended Acadia University and Queen’s University and joined Accenture in 1982 after graduation. An avid skier, sailor, mountain-biker and explorer of the great outdoors, Bill supports and contributes to sustainable development and environmental protection and is a member of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives. Kathy E. Sendall
Senior Vice-President, North American Natural Gas
Petro-Canada
As Senior Vice-President, North American Natural Gas, Kathy Sendall is responsible for the company’s Western Canada and U.S. Rockies region production and North American exploration. She is responsible for ensuring that a high degree of alignment and focus is brought to Petro-Canada’s corporate-wide upstream assets and capability development.
Kathy first joined Petro-Canada in 1978 and, after spending two years working with Nova Gas Transmission, rejoined the company as an Engineering Supervisor. Over the years, she held various management positions within Petro-Canada. From 1996 to 2002, she held the positions of Vice-President, Engineering and Technology and Vice-President, Western Canada Development and Operations, responsible for the Western Canada natural gas business and conventional oil properties. She assumed her current role in 2002.
Kathy graduated from Queen’s University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Mechanical Engineering, and attended the Ivey Executive Program at the Ivey School of Business in 1990.
She is Immediate Past President and Director of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, a Director of the Canadian Centre for Energy Information, a Director of the Canadian Council of Academies, and a Director of Calgary Opera. Ms. Sendall is a Governor of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP), and in March 2006, Ms. Sendall became the first woman to be named Chair of CAPP. She sits on the Board of Governors of the University of Calgary and is Past President of the Calgary Chapter of the International Women’s Forum.
Kathy has been honoured with many awards over the years including YWCA Women of Distinction Award (1998) an honourary Bachelor of Applied Industrial Ecology degree from Mount Royal College (2002), one of Canada’s 50 Most Powerful Women awarded by the National Post and was twice named one of Alberta’s 50 Most Influential People by Alberta Venture. She was awarded the Summit Award for Community Service from the Association of Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta in 2004 and was awarded the Canadian Engineering Leader Award in 2005. She has been named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women in the Corporate Executive category, receiving the 2006 Top 100 Award for the fourth consecutive year. In early 2006, Ms. Sendall was one of 50 women to receive the Key Women in Energy – Global Award. She was also honoured with the esteemed Champion of the Schulich School of Engineering award in May 2006. In October 2006, Kathy was awarded the Johnson Award from Queen’s University. Kathy was also named the December 2006 Woman of Vision by Global TV. |

Benjamin Tal

Benjamin Tal is a Senior Economist at CIBC World Markets. In this capacity Benjamin is responsible for analyzing economic developments and their implications for North American fixed income, equity, foreign exchange and commodities markets. He also acts in an advisory capacity to Bank Officers on issues related to wealth management, household/corporate credit and risk, and has lectured in the economics and business programs of various Canadian universities. Benjamin is also a regular commentator on financial and economic trends in the Canadian and American media with regular appearances on CNBC, BNN, Bloomberg TV and Radio. Benjamin also speaks frequently to business groups, in Canada, the US and Europe, with a view to translating economic forecast and analysis into information that can be used for their planning process.

Annette Verschuren is division president of The Home Depot’s Canadian operations, and also oversees The Home Depot’s operations in China. She joined the Company in 1996 and has overseen the rapid expansion of The Home Depot Canada and is responsible for the Company’s leadership position in the home improvement retail industry.
Annette began her career as a development officer with the Cape Breton Development Corporation (coal mining) in Sydney, Nova Scotia. She went on to work with Canada Development Investment Corporation as executive vice president privatizing various crown corporations. She then joined Imasco Ltd. (Canadian holding company) as vice president of Corporate Development. Prior to joining The Home Depot, Annette was president and co-owner of Michael’s of Canada (arts & crafts stores) from 1993 to 1996.
She has been honoured with a doctorate from both Mount Saint Vincent University and St. Francis Xavier University, and was recently honoured as Wilfred Laurier University’s 2006 Outstanding Business Leader. In 2005 Annette was awarded with Distinguished Canadian Retailer of the Year by the Retail Council of Canada. A native of North Sydney, Nova Scotia, Annette was recently appointed to the newly created North American Competitiveness Council (NACC) as part of the Security & Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP) by Prime Minister Harper. Annette also serves as Chancellor of Cape Breton University, and she is currently on the board of Canadian Council of Chief Executives, chair of Habitat for Humanity’s National President’s Council and is spearheading the Corporate Council on Volunteerism.
